Since IT products are becoming more and more about branding, design
and packaging rather than technology and features, more and more
electronics manufacturers appreciate the importance of choosing local
support partner in the Nordic area.
That is why we at Helpdesk believe we have an attractive package to
offer. While the mixes of languages we offer are small, then so is the
number of people speaking those languages. This gives you as a
manufacturer three choices to choose from:
- Offer support in English only. A poor choice for many reasons,
mainly because you will deter many people from buying your products
and even more people from becoming repeat customers. People want to
interact with the support provider in their native language.
- Offer support in the Nordic languages from Ireland, Barcelona,
Poland etc. A better choice but still not quality support. There
will be difficulties finding natives willing to move, low selection
of native applicants and poor agent retention. The low number of
applicants is really the key since you loose the luxury of passing
on people who really aren’t top performers, no matter if they lack
soft skills or IT skills as long as they have the language.
- The right choice if you want quality support is to locate the
support in the Nordics. We can easily find natives, be very
selective when recruiting agents and we achieve high agent
retention. While the costs for an agent in the Nordics are slightly
higher, we make up for most of the difference by giving faster and
better answers (due to our more selective screening process when
hiring), thereby reducing the volume of calls and e-mails. The rest
of the difference is easily made up in the increase in repeat
purchases by your customers.
